Organist and Liszt-researcher Zsolt Máté Mészáros is one of the most prominent and successful organists of Hungary. He is the Director of Music in the Inner City Parish Church in Budapest.
He graduated with Highest Honors from the Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest, where he currently continues his DLA studies. He received Hungary's most prestigious prizes for young musicians, the Junior Prima Award and the György Cziffra Talent Award.
One of his most important goals is to popularize organ music and the Hungarian music culture.
The research he conducted as the scholar of the Hungarian Academy of Arts related to this mission: he is working on the new edition of the complete organ and harmonium works of Franz Liszt. He has given hundreds of concerts in Hungary and abroad.
He has performed in the major cities and prestigious organ festivals across Europe, Israel, Palestine, Russia and the USA.
He also regularly performs with the most celebrated ensembles of Hungary. At his concerts he often plays his own transcriptions. He premiered many contemporary pieces dedicated especially for him.
